The Milford Valley Quilters Guild acknowledged National Quilters Day in 2018 by making baby quilts for the first child born on March 17th, 2018 or born soonest after that date. Three quilts were made and presented to one hospital in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Chris Cancemi chaired this project for 2019. Newton Medical, Wayne Memorial and Pocono Lehigh Hospital will be presented with a baby quilt.
Some members have offered to donate baby fabrics, batting and backing if needed. National Quilters Day was on Sunday, March 16, 2019.
