August 23, 2023, meeting will be a workshop making Honor Flight  Quilts for our Veterans flying to Washington, DC from the Hudson  Valley Honor Flight Program. An early start at 6 pm will allow more  time to sew! So, gather up your red, white, and blue fabrics to  honor these heroes. Strips cut at 2- and one-half inches work well  in a rail fence pattern, a four patch, can be used for a border, or  even for a binding. Six-inch blocks in these three colors can create  various designs. Or bring your fabric to get help with  cutting. Bring sewing supplies and your machine or share with a  friend. Fabrics can be shared and exchanged. Bring your orphan  blocks in patriotic fabrics so that they might get used by someone  else with a new idea. Beginners can get help with the basics.  Pattern ideas will be shared as a separate email to simplify  printing.  Any questions can be directed to Karen Batalin and Marie Desiano
